The Provincial Stream program offers athletes the opportunity to continue developing their skills as they progress from LCOMP to this level. The main routine will be in the team category, while some swimmers may be selected to perform in a duet or solo routine. The practice schedule is designed to support athletes to balance training with other activities during the week. Provincial Stream athletes are expected to commit to our entire ten-month season, attend 7 – 12 hours of practice each week (depending on their LTAD stage) and compete at three or four regional and provincial meets each year.

The Provincial Stream introduces swimmers to the competitive sport of synchronized swimming. Because of the practice schedule it allows athletes to balance synchro with other activities during the week. Provincial Stream swimmers are expected to commit to our entire ten-month season, attend 6 – 12 hours of practice each week (depending on the skill level they are at) and compete at three or four regional and provincial meets each year.
Synchronized swimming is a team sport and regular attendance and prompt arrival times are important to all members of the team. Athlete absences during the competition season must have coach approval. Unapproved absences may be subject to sanctions according to the Club Discipline Policy. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the swimmer being withdrawn from the current competition.
Family holidays, vacations and school field trips that include the swimmer should not be planned:
PWS is run entirely by volunteer parents. The Club has a Family Commitment Plan (FCP) to facilitate this effort. Detailed information about the FCP, including volunteer requirements, opportunities, and optional buy-out of volunteer points, is available in the “Family Commitment Plan” document that is made available at registration and is also available on our Team Snap page.
Individual parent concerns should go directly to the Team Coach. Pacific Wave (PWS) Synchronized Swim Club Handbook
