Beginner Classes

Recreational - AquaGo!

Classes are offered in multi-week sessions at community pools throughout the Lower Mainland in separate fall, winter, and spring sessions. Athletes of all genders, ages 6 and up who are comfortable in the water and have some basic swimming skills are welcome. Once a week athletes will learn basic speed swimming, routine skills and positions in artistic swimming from Level 1 up to level 6 as a foundation for understanding the sport. The aim is to help swimmers develop by working through skill progressions developed by Canada Artistic Swimming theorical and PWS practical experience. Athletes will work together as a team to develop multiple skill sets including the fun part of the sport, for example routine skills.

Athletes in Aqua GO are not expected to attend competitions.  Beginner athletes who want more experience but are not ready for competition are encouraged to register for more than one AquaGO session per week (if offered).
