About us

Our Mission

Pacific Wave Synchronized  Swimming Club fosters the pursuit of excellence at all levels of the sport of synchronized swimming while developing athletes to be engaged citizens and ambassadors of the sport. Starting as the Vancouver Aquasonics more than 50 years ago, the club is now based in Richmond and serves participants from across the Lower Mainland of BC.

We are committed to providing all participants, their families and coaches with a great sports experience, from our CANSwimSynchro development programs to provincial and national competitive streams. Our goal is to encourage and develop athletes to reach their highest potential.

PWS offers training programs for kids from five (5) to (20) years of age. Beginners just learning synchro to national competitors aiming for FINA Nationals or Olympics.

Athlete Pathway

Following the Canadian Sport for Life Program, we train our athletes through the 7 stages of Long Term Athlete Development. We strive to make it fun, challenging, and engaging! The athletes will be taught a solid foundation of physical, tactical and mental skills including coordination, agility, rhythm, balance, creativity and critical thinking skills that help them to thrive in sport and  life.

Our Club day to day operations and logistics are managed by our Club coordinator and Administrator.  We have a dedicated team of volunteers, including our Board of Directors.  All parents have the opportunity to volunteer and contribute!
